Makala Kafer

Public Relations Intern

Makala Kafer brings her dynamic background in sports broadcasting, production, and media relations to her role at PolicyWorks, where she assists clients with social media, event management, public relations, and public affairs. Her hands-on experience makes her a natural fit for engaging clients and strengthening their public presence.

Makala will graduate from Iowa State University in December with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications. Throughout her studies, she has interned with the Iowa High School Athletic Association, produced broadcasts for Cyclones TV—covering Iowa State women’s soccer on ESPN+—and served as the Director of Community Outreach for the Iowa State Sports Media Club. Her strong media foundation and dedication to storytelling make her a valuable asset to the PolicyWorks team.
