Today the PolicyWorks team joined Serve Credit Union to learn more about advocacy. Gracie Brandsgard, Director of Government Affairs, and Brittany Freeman, Advocacy Coordinator, discussed the variety of ways to make an impact such as participating in email calls-to-action, contributing to CUPAC, and volunteering in the community.
The group discussed the financial barriers their members face and their role as financial educators. With engaging dialogue and reflection, the Serve team gained a greater understanding of how their daily activities contribute to the credit union movement.
